Full Biography

Olivia Reva is a musician, educator, and arts administrator based in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a Minor in Performing Arts Administration from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University. With a career spanning performance, administration, and community engagement, she is dedicated to creating accessible, meaningful musical experiences that foster connection and inclusion.

A flutist with over a decade of experience, Olivia has studied with Diana Morgan, Colleen Blagov, and Nora Lee Garcia. In addition to these primary teachers, her artistry as a musician has also been significantly impacted by the teaching of Jim Walker, Lorna McGhee, Jennifer Steele, and Rhian Kenny. Olivia currently serves as Principal Piccolo of the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs solo and chamber programs around the greater Pittsburgh area in both traditional and non-traditional performance spaces. She is also an alumna of the National Flute Association’s Young Artist Mentorship Program, where she worked directly with Leanna Keith.

As a Carnegie Mellon University-trained Teaching Artist, Olivia is deeply committed to community engagement and arts education. While at CMU, she studied with Monique Mead and co-founded Lullaby Project Pittsburgh, an initiative started by Carnegie Hall that partners musicians with parents to create personalized lullabies for their children. She has also served as a guest lecturer at CMU and has been involved in creating and producing innovative programming, such as Azure Family Concerts, which is designed to be accessible to neurodivergent audiences. In January 2025, Olivia presented her work and initiative at the Florida Flute Association annual conference.

In addition to performance, Olivia currently serves as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's operations coordinator. In this role, she manages orchestra scheduling, coordinates concert logistics, oversees production responsibilities, and leads touring preparation efforts. She has worked with the PSO to prepare three international tours and numerous local and domestic performances. Before working with the PSO, Olivia worked in production and operational roles for the Timucua Arts Foundation, Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Opera Orlando, and Symphony Tacoma.

Olivia also explores the intersection of music and wellness as a certified sound healing practitioner. She values the way sound fosters passive yet profound connections, providing opportunities for self-healing, relaxation, and reflection without many of the barriers often associated with classical music. She approaches this work with a balance of evidence-based research and a deep belief in music’s transformative power.

As an advocate for equity and accessibility in the human experience, Olivia creates inclusive spaces where music can be a source of joy, healing, and empowerment. She is particularly interested in opportunities that bridge traditional and non-traditional performance settings, allowing her to merge her skills as a musician, educator, and administrator and make a lasting impact on individuals and the communities she serves.
